Our community's sweet tooth has translated into substantial support for two vital local organizations. The annual Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign in Lindsay has raised $46,472.66, demonstrating once again how small acts of generosity can create meaningful change when we come together.
The fundraiser, which ran from April 27 to May 3, saw specially decorated cookies sold at six Tim Hortons locations owned by Nick and Meaghan Chapman throughout Lindsay. The impressive total will be split equally between the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation and Kawartha Lakes Food Source, with each organization receiving a cheque for $23,236.33.
